- Iris was built in 2001 but not launched until 2004 and is a traditionally styled narrowboat with a first owner fitout having attractive detailing and choice of woods. The Paul Barber steelwork features a Josher style bow along with a cabin top stop beam, traditional Anser pins and bulkhead rings. The Gardner 3LW takes pride of place in the engine room. The Boatmans cabin looks authentic with an Epping range and table cupboard but has plenty of other cupboards and a washing machine (inoperative) also installed. Iris was purchased by her present owners and was destined to be the boat of their dreams but unfortunate circumstances managed to throw a spanner in the works and she is now reluctantly back on the market. Having not used the boat extensively, they have not been able to report details of her servicing or bow thruster batteries etc. However Iris has benefited from having her hull grit blasted and sprayed with hot metal zinc before being coated with 2 pack epoxy, this was all carried out in November 2022 at a cost of approximately £11,000.
