  • "Silver Buccaneer" is a Silver Ormidale Class motor yacht designed by John Bain and built in 1964 by James Silver & Co., Rosneath, Scotland. She has recently been refurbished by her current owner. One of the nicest of the Silvers Class boats, well proportioned, practical and stunning to look at. She has a large covered aft deck, wide side decks and foredeck. Mahogany on Oak with Teak decks.     Laid Teak deck. Round bilged, displacement hull with long keel. WOW! What an aft deck! - As soon as you step aboard you arrive on the huge Teak laid aft deck with canvas sun awning. There is a central table and built into the aft side of the wheelhouse is a bench seat with surrounding deck stowage. The deck is secured by a solid safety rail. with Teak capping and side access gates. This is the perfect place to dine alfresco, host a party or lounge about. A true feature. Fitted table and hatch covers. The side decks are wide, Teak laid and secured with a continuation of the solid rail that wraps the whole boat. Moving about on deck is all one level so you always feel safe and secure.

    Accommodation
    The large cockpit is fitted with pedestal mounted helm and navigators seats and a full-width aft bench seat that converts to form a sunpad, all trimmed in blue leatherette vinyl. A classic teak companionway with louvered door opens into the cuddy cabin which has a V-shape seating area offering seated headroom and two single berths (an in-fill could easily be created to form a double), sea toilet (beneath berth), storage lockers, opening hatch, lined interior and cabin light. There is a storage cupboard and small sink fitted aft to starboard, if desired it would be very easy to create a small galley.
    Mechanical Systems
    Located in aft engine compartment, Volvo Penta 3.0 GL 135hp 4-cylinder petrol engine. Seawater cooled. Morse type single lever controls with electric start. Volvo SX sterndrive with hydraulic trim and tilt. The engine and outdrive leg are believed to be new in 2009, replaced during a previous restoration which was never finished, since then they have only run for approximately 15hrs.

  • The Rapier is a high speed two seater, originally in the sales brochure as "unchallenged in its class for looks, performance, comfort and price". Moulded in mahogany on prime English oak, chrome plated bronze fittings and windscreen surround. It comes fitted with removable two tone vinyl and foam seats. The restoration of this boat was done over a two year period however it is still complete with its original engine, trailer, paddles and waterskis! Due to the Rapier's light weight it can be easily handled by one person.
