Classic Marine & Classic Craft - Cardnell Sloo
  • Classic Marine & Classic Craft - Cardnell Sloo
  • 'Samphire' is a charming classic sloop, built by the highly regarded East coast shipwright G.E. Cardnell of Steeple in 1934. Her moderate draft and sea-kindly manner make her ideal for exploring shallower waters, whilst being easily handled thanks to her simple rig. She has been subject to a thorough four-year refit in 2012-2016,and she is presented in excellent all-round order ready for her next owner (2016 survey available) . Her impressive inventory includes hot water, a rebuilt engine, recent standing and running rigging, shore power and more. We would recommend an early viewing to avoid disappointment, and a 10m leasehold berth at Burnham Yacht Harbour is also available separately if required. Classic - Bombigher Tender Dream for sale
  • Classic - Bombigher Tender Dream for sale
  • Moored in St Malo, France. "And now for something completely different..." Sunbird in St Malo are delighted to offer this pocket sized modern classic from the pen of Daniel Z Bombigher, best known for the Schpountz series. No1 of only 2 yet built to these plans, the Tender Dream is a charming weekender, beautifully built by Teck et Acajou / St Malo Classic Boat, of strip planked, laminated timber, epoxy coated. She was little used by her first owner, restored by her current (second) owner and currently tucked up in a barn. The owner is relocating abroad and the boat needs just a little pre-season love and attention to be fully ready to enjoy.
    Remarks
From a 1995 design, one of only two built to date. Beautiful laminated strip planked, epoxy coated construction. 9hp Yanmar diesel. Marine wc under companionway step. 2 single berths fwd with infill conversion. Saloon table. Galley unit to stbd with hand pumped fresh water to sink. Numerous "Bombigher" features such as cut out heart motifs. Gaff rig with Dutch style curved gaff. Partially boomed self tacking jib. Beaching legs. Inflatable dinghy and outboard. Log/speed and compass. All over winter cover. New rudder to Bombigher's design crafted for the current owner as the first owner mislaid the original... Bombigher designs show influences from the Chesapeake and New England as well as from the Netherlands. Not just a miniature Schpountz, but a charming sailing boat which makes one think of Ticonderoga or the schooner America. In generally lovely condition, with only a few pre-season jobs to do - a seacock to change, a bilge wash through and perhaps paint? Clean the sink, put her back together, launch and enjoy. The seller will hand over a set of the designer's plans and notes.
