IVY 57ft Traditional Wooden

Originally built in 1932 for Fellows Morton & Clayton, Ivy was a wooden carrying vessel of 70ft. She underwent an complete rebuild by Ian Riley and created as the boat you see today. Those who know of Ian\'s Work will appreciate the quality and level of detail that go into his builds.

Ivy is powered by a Ruston VSH direct drive engine, electric start.

She is raw water cooled and has a whole host of electrics including fresh running water (hot and cold!)

As well as the standard traditional back cabin arrangement with coal fired range, followed by a spacious engine room there is the addition of a small cabin extension. In here is a handy bathroom.

Moving forward into the hold area this is converted with a barrel top structure covered in canvas. It is surprisingly spacious and although currently empty apart from a single bulkhead, this is a very light and airy space. The forecabin is lined out also and has a bed fitted.

As with all Wooden Boats any perspective purchaser should not underestimate the maintenance schedule required to keep on top of them and the on going works schedule.

Ivy has a current BSC which is valid until Aug 2025

The most common scam is where the seller tells you they will deliver the boat and that your "money is covered by insurance" (there are fake boat dealers out there too).

Always talk to the seller on the phone, If the phone number on the listing doesn’t work or they never pick up then this is another sign it’s a scam.

If the price seems too good to be true then this is usually a scamAnd finally, never ever buy a boat without viewing it or getting someone you know to view it.
