- The Rum Bucket is quite a ship. She was built in 2017 by Collingwood and was the winner at the Crick boat show that year. She is a 60’x9’ widebeam and has been home to her current owners since launch. She is moored in March in Cambridgeshire and the idyllic and peaceful garden mooring is available if desired.The covered stern deck offers a lovely social area with comfy seats around. The engine, a Canaline 60 serviced in April 2023, is under the deckboards, and navigation is assisted by the 95kgf bowthruster. The gas locker is on the port side and offers another seat. She is reverse layout, so the steps lead down into the galley. This is 9’ long and the utilities consist of a 4 burner gas hob, an eye level oven and grill, a microwave oven, stainless steel sink, 12v fridge (with icebox) and a washing machine / tumble dryer. There is plenty of storage, and a breakfast bar offers a dining area. The worktops are granite, and a side hatch adds light and air.The saloon is enormous at 17’. It has a sofa opposite a wall mounted 32” TV, and a Morso solid fuel stove in between some cupboards and shelves. The spacious bathoom comes next. The shower is a quadrant style, the basin is ceramic and the loo is a Vetus pumpout. There is a large floor to ceiling shelving cupboard for storage. The bedroom is in the forward cabin. The fixed double bed measures 6’6” x 4’6” with lockers either side. There is a large double wardrobe and either side of the glazed front doors are floor to ceiling shelving cupboards. There is a wall mounted TV at the foot of the bed. Steps lead out onto the front deck. This has a cratch cover, and the stainless steel water tank sits under. The forward locker is for storage.She was last blacked with epoxy 2 pack at launch, and is booked for re-blacking and new anodes in June this year. She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired boiler, and the hot water is heated by the Webasto, the engine, or an immersion heater.12v is from the bank of 3 domestic batteries (all new April 2023) and 230v is from the 2.5kw inverter or landline. All the lights are LED. She has been well loved, is a relatively young boat and is a beautiful floating home. Viewings by appointment only.
