Description
With a GPR hull and a wooden superstructure,Pampata bridges the divide between two different eras of boatbuilding. This unique Broom 35, bespoke built in 1966 features twin 47hp Perkins diesel engines and two helm stations and was commissioned to enable short coastal passages

The boat is currently located on the River Thames near Wallingford. Pampata sleeps 5 with two in the fore cabin and two in the aft cabin plus one in the cockpit area. The aft cabin includes a wardrobe, shower room / WC with waste going to a holding tank. There is also a sink in the fore cabin plus large storage cupboard. There is drawer storage under all the beds.

Some of the teak handrail needs replacing plus some of the wood at the hull / deck  interface, and the cabins need some attention to address leaks hence the low price.

The engines have been well maintained and are in good working order. The boat has a current boat safety certificate valid until August 2029 and is registered on the Thames until the end of August 2029. There is no hot water facility at present. The galley contains a gas oven, grill and 3 ring burner plus sink  / drainer and 12V / mains / gas fridge. Foot level heating is provided by an Eberspacher diesel heater (in need of new electronic control unit). There is also a 240V hook up connector. The cockpit / saloon area includes built-in mahogany cupboards and drawers and skylight in the roof. This spacious area contains a settee seating four people round a table space with the galley at a lower level. The saloon serves as a socialiising area between the forward and aft cabins. Steering can be either from inside the cockpit or on the upper deck. An anchor is fitted to the foredeck and a swim platform to the rear.

The most common scam is where the seller tells you they will deliver the boat and that your "money is covered by insurance" (there are fake boat dealers out there too).

Always talk to the seller on the phone, If the phone number on the listing doesn’t work or they never pick up then this is another sign it’s a scam.

If the price seems too good to be true then this is usually a scamAnd finally, never ever buy a boat without viewing it or getting someone you know to view it.
