FOR SALE - LEISURE 23 SAILING YACHT
Jongleur is a 1978 Leisure 23, bilge keel sailing boat. The hull is still the original gelcoat in very good condition. The boat was antifouled with coppercoat prior to our purchase 5 years ago and still works well when re-activated each year. The keels have been painted with normal antifoul each year.
New Kubota 10 hp diesel inboard engine fitted and it has only done approximately 200 hours. Main sail, from Saturn Sails, Largs is in excellent condition and was new when we purchased the boat. Jib sail in good condition. Cruising chute and sock in very good condition, which we have never used.
She is a lovely, safe 5 berth boat comprising forward V-Berth, the table drops in the saloon to form small double and a port side quarter-berth.
Equipment on board :: Diesel Heater, 50w solar panel with Photonic control unit, NASA Target2 Depth sounder, 2 leisure batteries - one for house power and one as starter battery, LED lighting fitted in cabin, new flexible water tank with sink tap converted to electric, cabin top mounted winch for main halyard. New compass fitted on bulkhead. All lines led to the cockpit to suit single handed sailing.
Jongleur benefits from a Thetford portapotti with small holding tank, which can also be manually pumped out like a sea toilet and is also vented outside the boat (so no chemical smells).
Rudder shaft bushes replaced after we purchased the boat. Engine has had a new heat exchanger fitted. Manual bilge pump in lazerette. Manual bilge pump fitted to engine compartment bilge. Electric automatic bilge pump fitted to main bilge with warning buzzer and light. We have never ever found any water in the main bilge.
The boat comes with various mooring lines, anchor with 16 metres of chain and approx 30 metres of rope. All woodwork is in good condition.
All cushions are in very good condition, renewed just prior to us buying the boat.
We have all the invoices from the previous owner of all the work done over previous years, which amounts to many thousands of pounds. These will be provided to the new owner.
The yacht is now out the water on a road trailer. Happy to deliver the boat within a 50 mile radius. Happy to negotiate a price for selling the trailer too.
