Description
£9,800 reduced from £12,500 (open to offers).
Sad to be selling our beloved boat Mallard 23ft Colvic Watson (1984).
She is currently on trots mooring in Christchurch. Mooring is paid till march/April which can be past onto the new owner if required.
We have hand her for around 8years and have loved every minute being out on her. She has been a great first boat and now the family is getting bigger it's time for something new..
Construction: GRP construction with white topsides and superstructure , long keel, deep aft cockpit, self drainage with wheel steering and emergency tiller, masthead Bermudan sloop rig, large interior with 4 berth in 2 cabins and good standing headroom.
Lovely seating area outside the back of the boat with the table from inside being able to be moved out there. The back has a cabin which helps give protection against the wind and the seating area is in the sun.
Sails & rig: Roller reefing mainsail old but plenty on life left in her. Genoa roller reefing system. Spinnaker . All lines can led aft to the cockpit so you can sail in all weathers. Alloy mast and spars, mast mounted in stainless steel tabernacle with mast lowering gear included.
Engine: (what a great bit of kit, not the fastest in the world but great fuel consumption) BMC 4 cylinder 1.5l 30hp inboard diesel. 30 gallon fuel tank with a consumption per hour of around 1/2 a gallon at 2500rpm. Alternator charging to 12 volt batteries. Shaft drive with a cruising speed under engine of around 5 knots.
Equipment: Hand held compass, Hummingbird fish finder/echo sounder, VHF radio, autopilot, gas cooker and oven, pressurized water sink and cockpit shower, toilet with wash basin.
The Colvic Watson was designed by G L Watson along the lines of Scottish fishing boats making her a very seaworthy design with high volume interior layout. Certainly a surprising boat for her size...
Enjoy.
