57 foot Semi Traditional Narrowboat "Last Furlong". Built by Measham in 2005. Launched 2006. Based currently on the Western Kennet and Avon Canal. Purchased and Surveyed prior to, just over a year ago. The boat has been from Reading to Bath and provided perfectly comfortable and trouble free accommodation and navigation, in the 100 or so miles I travelled on her this year. Reluctant sale now, due to worsening vision impairment. Barrus Shire - Yanmar 45Hp 4 cylinder Diesel. Last Serviced January 2024 with Genuine Barrus/Yanmar Oil air and fuel filters and new alternator belts for the two alternators, one supplying the 2 x 12v starting batteries the other supplying the leisure array of 8 x 6v Trojan T105 batteries. PRM 150 2:1 Gearbox. Bronze 18" propeller, to 1 1⁄2” stainless steel prop shaft. Gearbox oil change with Genuine Barrus Shire oil, 03 March 2023. The Hull is of 10 - 6 - 5 - 4mm steel construction, last blacked at Aldermaston in October 2021 with 6 new anodes, a new stern weed hatch seal fitted and stern gland was packed at this time, fitted with a Vetus 24v Bow thruster, unused by myself, although can be commissioned and working, for the new buyer if required. The glazed bow cratch space, has it's original cover and has lockers with seating and a fold down table, access to the locker housing the bow thruster/storage space and the 500L Stainless Steel Water tank are located under. 2 x 13kg gas bottles are housed in the forepeak locker. The cabin of all porthole design with steel doors, were security features I looked for when buying a boat. The stern deck is sheltered by the original pram cover, there is bench seating over locker storage. Entering the cabin from stern, the engine instrument panel and ignition are inside the steel doors and sliding hatch. Cabinetry housing the Victron 3000W Multiplus Inverter, (fitted in December 2021) with user interface, charge controllers and bluetooth connection, Webasto diesel central heater controller and electrical consumer units, continuing fore, there is larder and under step storage, leading to the galley. Facilities are gas oven, grill and 4 burner hob, 240v fridge with freezer compartment. Continuing forward, there is the queen size double bed, with storage space, water pump, calorifier/immersion water heater under. Forward, is the head, which has a heated towel rail radiator, Thetford cassette toilet, hard wired and plumbed, with two cassettes, sink with cabinet under and tiled shower unit with bi fold screen door. Lastly, toward the bow is the saloon/single berth where there is another radiator, a full size single bed (converting to seating) with storage under, next to the Arada/Hardy Hamlet multi fuel stove, creating a cosy living area which can also be a full size single bedroom. Boat Safety Scheme Certification current to 2026. All Manuals/Paperwork for everything and receipts for everything carried out in my ownership will be provided.
