1923 Dutch cruising houseboat for sale

After many happy years of living aboard we are, sadly, finally having to "swallow the anchor" and part with our beautiful barge and move ashore. At 19.8 x 3.6 x 1.0 and with a collapsible wheelhouse she is well suited to the southern UK canals and rivers. She has been docked regularly, BSC until October 2029 and was valued at her last survey ( August 2023 )at £100,000. She has two double cabins, a well equipped kitchen, bathroom with heated towel rail, hand basin, whirlpool bath and shower and Airhead composting loo. The stern cabin has a double panel radiator and its own toilet compartment containing a Porta Potti. The forward cabin has ample storage and a large double panel radiator. The comfortable saloon includes a leather three seater sofa and a matching armchair , much cupboard and drawer space and a Stovax multifuel stove and double panel radiator. She is amply powered by a DAF DA 475 driving through a Hurth hydraulic gearbox to a 27" propeller via a Python drive thrust bearing. Electricity ( 12v and 230v ) is supplied by a Mastervolt Whisper 6 ultra built in generator plus a 570 watt solar array with Victron mppt controller , a 900 ah Trojan battery bank and a 2500/120/12 Victron Multi Plus charger/inverter. Fuel capacity is 1100 litres, water capacity is 1200 litres drinking water plus a river water filter system feeding a 220 litre tank which takes care of all washing needs ( there is a Beko washing machine and an Indesit condensing tumble dryer next to the bathroom ). Hot water and central heating is taken care of by a diesel fired boiler located in the engine room which heats a 700 litre calorifier, this is supplemented in the summer months by a solar collector.
