Kirby Moor is somewhat unusual in that she is actually 7'4" wide as opposed to the traditional 6'10" standard narrowboat. She offers comfortable living space, good headroom and lots of light. She is economical both in asking price and ongoing mooring fees. You enter the boat through the double cabin, with built in double bed and plenty of storage. A corridor leads to a bathroom with full size shower, hand basin and toilet. Next is the kitchen, with four ring hob, oven and space for a fridge and washing machine. There is also plenty of work surface and storage, next is a cosy lounge area, and then a further area that could be used as a guest room or extension to the lounge. Kirby Moor has a full hull survey from July 2024, and offers an excellent and affordable opportunity to purchase a houseboat on a secure residential mooring. She has had the hull painted and new anodes fitted.  Within walking distance there is a general store and restaurant/diner. There is a bus terminus with services to neighbouring areas. This popular village location provides something for everyone, with schools for all ages, restaurants and take aways, doctors, dentist, chemist, local shops, swimming pool and leisure centre. For car commuters you can be heading for the coast or London on the A2/M2 in under ten minutes. For rail commuters, the closest station will be Strood, where you can catch the high-speed service to London with a journey time of around forty minutes. Close to the river Medway with sailing facilities and many walks over open countryside.   The houseboat is freehold and the residential mooring leasehold.
