Saga SAGA 26 HT for sale
- The Saga 26 is a well-regarded Norwegian-built cruiser known for its excellent sea-keeping qualities, stable ride, and comfortable layout, particularly its social cockpit that can be fully enclosed or opened with a soft top. Key features include a long keel, strong handling with bow thruster options, generous seating in the cockpit, a versatile galley located between inside and outside spaces, and accommodation for several people. It\'s a highly capable and versatile boat, suitable for both inland and coastal cruising, offering a good balance of performance and practical living spaceThis 1999 Saga 26 is an incredible package offering everything that anybody could want to have fun on the water. The forepeak offers accomodation for two in the forward berth and an additonal crew berth to port. The heads is self contained on the starboard side. The helm offers comfortable seating with a passenger seat adjacent, and all the equipment needed. A chartplotter takes centre stage but there are gauges for all of the important stuff, from fuel to pressure and temperature. Equipment is equally impressive with a fish finder, bow thruster, electric anchor windlass, inverter, shore power, automatic bilge pump to name just a few. This is an all weather boat. Two windscreen wipers clear spray or rain and a full aft cockpit enclosure keeps the worst of the weather at bay. When the sun shines, the cover can be removed or the sides rolled up. The sliding sunroof is easy to open and lets the light flood in. with the aft cover off, a bimini can keep the mid day sun at bay.Seating is generous and an infill makes for a massive double berth and with her webasto diesel heating system nights on board are a very pleasant experience. Under each berth is plenty of storage and to starboarad is a twin hot plate and sink with 3 draws for utensils with a cupboard under the sink. Her webasto diesel heating system makes for cozy nightsTo the stern is a generous platform and swim ladder that makes access when moored stern to a breeze or somewhere to sit and relax when \"on the hook\"The single inboard Yanmar diesel starts on the button and runs beautifully. and all equipment works as it should. Her single engine control is responsive and sensitive enough to make manouvering easy and with the bow thruster, she can be moved around in tight spaces with ease. Having only done just under 1500 hours, this is an engine that has been very lightly used.
