About Bavaria Yachts
Bavaria Yachts is one of the most modern manufacturers of sailing yachts and motorboats worldwide with one of the world’s most innovative shipyards.
Bavaria Yachts were first started in 1978 by Winfried Hermann located at a factory making PVC windows in Giebelstadt, Bavaria. Hermann, a sailor himself recognised an opportunity that this factory and its workforce presented to establish a shipyard for sailing yachts. The idea was to produce industrial yachts and offer them at unbeatable bargain prices to give many customers the opportunity to purchase a new yacht for themselves.
Today Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH’s 550 workers produce over 1500 sailboats and motorboats, making the shipyard one of the largest in Europe. The Bavaria yachts are between 28 and 55ft long. And as of today, 30,000 yachts have left the shipyard. The Bavaria Yacht shipyard boasts four production lines, each 125 meters long, a carpenter’s workshop where the entirety of the yacht is constructed and two halls to manufacture hulls and decks, which are accommodated on a large surface measuring 200,000 square meters. Each boat is made entirely in Germany.
Bavaria Yachts produce both sailboats and motorboats. Bavaria sailing boats are known as Bavaria CRUISER and Bavaria motorboats are called Bavaria SPORT. Each design is followed by a number - the higher the number, the larger the Bavaria Yacht.
